Yeah...it seems that crap rolls down hill

Really...I don't see the MM that way. I see it as a way of using people's generalization, deletions and distortions as a way to gather more accurate information about the problem. I don't think that information comes from an unconscious mind. It seems like a very conscious process to me.

Here is the mistake that some people make. They think, because they have been conditioned to, that anything outside of your conscious awareness must be percieved by an unconscious mind.
What they miss is that the unconscios mind is just a metaphor for the way that the brain processes information that is just outside of its focus at the time. Just because the information is not being focused on does not mean that it is not being noticed at all. Just because it has an effect does not mean there is an unconscious mind.
That is how anchors work. Anchors work because the brain is a pattern prediction machine. It is always looking for a way to predict what is going to happen next. To do that it draws from experience.
If I generate a state and attach it to a movement or object, I have created a pattern for the brain to look for. Because of the way I elicited the state and generated novelty and emotion, I have made the pattern easy to recognize.
So when I later fire an anchor I am giving the brain something to look for to fill in the pattern.
Doing to activates the reactive part of the brain and we get a reactive response without any thought. We have bypassed the creative adaptive area of the brain that would be used to examine and adapt to the anchor and go striaght to the reactive area and get a reactive respsonse.
No unconscious mind is anywhere in this process. To make it easy for those who do not study neuroscience, some people just refer to this process as an unconscious response and use the metaphor of the unconscious mind.

Embedded commands do not work in isolation. Here is an example. I type the word BLINK. You know what it means and for most people just seeing that word makes them blink.
If I add in rapport and command tonality while using one of the positions of power then I have compounded that effect. Still it is the brains simple process of looking for the pattern and predicting the next thing that makes the command work.
It goes something like this:
Rapport first....Brain recognizes rapport and begins to predict safety and trust.
Position of equal...Brain recognizes this and predicts beleifs and behaviors of that position.
Command tonality...Brain predicts that something important is happening and begins to react before the command by generating possibilities.
Command....If you ...feel like blinking...blah blah blah....
Reactive brain generates blink.
Sometimes you can fool the brain by changing directions. If you start with a question that has question tonality and then slip in a command you can further tap into a reactive response because you have changed the predicted path making bypassing the adaptive part of the brain even more.
The brain is a complex prediction machine but once you know how it actually functions you can operate within that machines capabilities.
For those who choose not to educate themselves, they will just assume that there is a magical unconscious mind at work and leave it at that. As a metaphor it works just fine. The problem is when people start thinking the metaphor is a fact.
Just like with magicians, when you know how the trick is done you realize that it is not magic but well timed application of skill.
Let me know if you have any other questions

This is such an enlightening post and one that is much more in sync with brain science than any article about the bullshit unconscious you can find on the internet. Thanks for this man.
