Hi Tom - thanks for doing this. I gained enormously from the 2 week challenge at the end of last year and following that, I actually went through my own copy of The Money Magnet too and took copious notes whilst doing it. So I'm following along with those this time around. And that's made me wonder about something that I touched on briefly in the txt messaging during yesterday's webinar.

The booklet for the tapes says "Think of the things that you desire to have in your life" and I took "things" to be a pretty wide-ranging definition, So apart from the "Chick, Car, House, Money" stuff, I also included things like good physical and mental health. (Hey, I'm an old git and I think about these things, particularly as something minor did come up recently). These got joint top-rated when I put them in order of importance.

Then we get to the really interesting bit: list what each of these things would get for you.

For me, the answer to that is "they get me the ability to do and enjoy almost everything else in my life to the max". And when I rate that answer along with all the others, it comes top.

Question: I'm wondering if that is getting too cerebral ? Or whether I'm copping out. Or is it just my age ? Whaddya think ?

Thanks,

Roger

PS: In my list, I did change "nice car" to "Jeep" Wink

Hi Tom

Saw the video blog where you mentioned my post on the challange. I think I am getting a little confused with it. Iam having a bit of a hard time trying to nail down what it is I actually want to do. Does this make sense? I will review my list and go through it again.

Matt

Hi All,

Should I be doing anything else at this time, or should I just wait for Tom's next message?

Since Matt mentioned the Video Blog, should I be watching anything as well?

Please let me know, it's my first 2-week challenge.

Thank you.

So I've made a second list. This one has really helped me clarify what I want while at the same time giving me interesting insights into the structure of what I wanted and why.

Some of it's twistedly disturbing with a delightful morbid curiosity for me and some has a soothing definition for reasons I desire the things I desire.

Here's the full second list.

1. Job
2. Income of Money
3. Fullfillment
4. Challenge
5. Travel
6. Art Business
7. Give back the money I've borrowed
8. Daily List of things to do
9. Organized with the things that need to be organized
10. Beautiful women 5that I am scared of in my list of things to do

A friend made a comment to me today as we were talking about that things we desired and I mentioned that I wanted Financial Authority.

He asked a really good question and said instead of what does that get you, "What do you do to get that?"
I thought it was a really good question because it took me to the beginning of doing the things that I would need to do to get that.

What do you think? Is that a good question to ask?
